Exclusive: No way to save small cinema!

A film that runs for 100 days was considered a hit, 175 days a blockbuster and one year as an epic. What is that strategy, which changed this trend in the film industry now? let us get into detail.

Firstly, the film budget is increasing day by day. The producers are coming forward to invest crores on star heroes, as per the market. So they are not able to risk, waiting for long, to bring back the investment, along with the profits.

It is for, this reason, the producers are releasing the films in number of theaters on the first day itself, and are trying to bring back all the investment and profits, so that though the film does not get a positive talk later, the producers might have already be on the safe side, recovering the investment from the opening day collections itself.

This logic works out in big star studded films, but what about small films? They cannot release their films in number of theaters, like big ones and so are failing in recovering the investments, if the film does not secure a success.

Big cinema is killing the small cinema

In fact, this might be the reason of why the producers are avoiding small films and opting only big films. Fantastic actors like Srikanth, Jagapathi Babu, who are identified for family entertainers, are not able to look forward to do them, as no producer is daring to invest on such entertainers. If though, any such films are being made, those films will be thrown out of the theaters, if other big movies get released.

Where is the fault? Where is the way to save a small cinema? An issue which has to be thought upon, for sure.
