After appearing smoking a cigar on the posters of his latest 'go goa gone', Saif Ali Khan has recently been served a notice from National Organization for Tobacco Eradication'... the actor is really upset with this incident and decides to speak, 'I never support smoking. Instead I advise to quit smoking after myself being survived by a Heart Attack. It is only because of my roles demand, I appear smoking on screen. In this film, I play a Russian Maifa lord, so according to the behavioral trait of the role; I posed smoking a cigar on the posters. However, the censor board is particular on what age group to watch what kind of films so I don’t think me playing any role would indicate anything to my fans’, said the actor. Abhi is confirmed, finally... April 01, 2013 13:14

After a series of discussions of who will be the lead Man in Tamil film 'Vettai' remake in Hindi, Abhishek Bacchan's name has been confirmed by film makers Abbas and Mustan… director Ali Zafar who shares the cordial relation with Abhishek is also happy to direct Abhi in this film. Earlier, names like John Abraham were considered to play the lead role in this film, later until many months, Shahid Kapoor’s name was associated with the film and now, Abhishek has been agreed to play the role… The other cast and crew in the version, the other hero ka details are yet to be known… the makers are really excited about the project that has been a super hit in Tamil and working on the film repeating the same magic in Hindi version as well. The regular shoot of the film is yet to go on location...

I still remember the last year's IPL affecting film Industry at a major level and unless the IPL series was done, no film being released. But this year, apart from certain matches of certain cricket teams, the film makers are not at all worried about IPL affecting their films ka business, after release... right from Hindi film maker Ekta Kapoor releasing her two films 'Shootout at Waadala' and 'Ek thi Daayan', the entire 'Mega' camp in T - Town, right from Allu Arjun to Ram Charan, Allu Sirish and even new comer, Sai Dharam Tej are releasing their films, this summer, very much during PIL, that is starting from April first week... Does this mean, films are winning over cricket???

Vazhakku En 18/9 wins National Film Award! March 19, 2013 12:14

The film's make-up artist Raja was awarded the National Film Award for Best Makeup Artist. It has also been judged as the Best Tamil film. 'Vazhakku En 18/9' have been opened to extravagant enthusiasm from critics, have made it a an absolute reason for prediction that the film would win awards in the country and perhaps, in fact  in the international level. Quiet expected, the film's make-up artist Raja was awarded the National Film Award for Best Makeup Artist while it  has also been judged as the Best Tamil film. Raja said that he still cannot believe it and that the credit for the honour goes to the director Balaji Sakthivel. He expresses that he is  honoured to receive this award which even the veteran make up artists in the industry couldn't win. Even as the modest Raja seemed stunned on hearing the news, his teary-eyed wife said that he expected one for Kadhal and Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai and that she is so happy that he got it this time. Moreover, Balaji Sakthivel, who never expected the award, thanked the producer for giving him the space and creative freedom. Fact - fully, the producer funded this film without even asking for the story, he added. While talking about the film’s focus on the structural violence against women in the Tamil society, Balaji Sakthivel said that he merely tried to be objective in his analysis of the society. In fact, the producer of the film, Lingusamy, said the award for ‘Vazhakku En 18/9’ was one he would love to keep on his showcase while he added that he had expected the film to win awards and also noted that the film was enjoyed by people as well. Vinayak, Seenu Vytla, Puri Jagannath and Sukumar who are famous for their own genre films... but, this film maker who became famous with the films like 'Snehageetam', 'Its My Love Story' and recently with another entertainer, 'Back Bench Students’ seems to have special attention for Youth... He is none other than Madhura Sridhar... till date with the kind of films directed and produced by this director, it is clearly evident that Sridhar is happy making films that cater to youth in particular... And in his every film, the maker makes a point to introduce a new face or all the lead roles being new comers... But if Sridhar looks at sustaining as a film maker in T - Town for a long time, he needs to either experiment on the genre of films or showcase the variations in his storylines as well...
