Maruti Suzuki, a prodigious automobile company is planning to bring more cars in India by using hybrid technology. The company was motivated by seeing the rising concern for environmental issues and hence they are planning to introduce hybrid technology-driven cars in India. These cars will be more fuel-efficient and will cause minimal harm to the environment.
As a responsible citizen, the company feels it's their prime duty to prevent environmental pollution. So, now the company is planning to embrace all Indian customers with CNG cars. Mileage from CNG powered vehicles usually falls in between the petrol and diesel variants. It is also true that a CNG-powered vehicle is unable to beat the diesel-powered motor on mileage, but in fuel-economy- wise, they are far better than the petrol cars. In the upcoming three years, the company will be planning to expand this hybrid technology in a wider way.
Currently, only some top-end variants like Ertiga MPV and the sedan Ciaz are offered with Maruti's own SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) technology. This technology is considered as a mild hybrid system which rotates around the integrated starter generator and a bigger battery under the hood. This kind of setup usually helps the engine to run smoothly and provides additional power whenever the engine is required. Moreover, the regenerative braking system is also integrated with
this type of engine.
Though Honda and Toyota are manufacturing vehicles by using hydrogen fuel in America and Japan but in India, our present infrastructure will not support this kind of system. That's why Maruti is not bringing this hydrogen fuel technology in India.
