Reliance Jio Takes On Zoom, Google Meet:- Reliance Jio managed to raise Rs 1,17,588 crores from eleven investors in a gap of 11 weeks. Jio Platforms launched a video conferencing app named Jio Meet which is said to compete with Zoom and Google Meet. After Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced Aatmnirbhar Bharat, there is a huge negativity on Chinese products and Chinese apps. The outrage is clearly shown across the social media platforms by the youth. India recently banned 59 Chinese apps. Jio Meet offers an unlimited number of free calls in ultra high definition to the users. Jio Meet also supports 100 participants at the same time.

What's so special with Jio Meet is that the call can last for 24 hours without any interruption. Jio Meet needs no codes and invitations for the call to start. For all those who are using a desktop version, just click on the invite link and join the meeting from your browser. Jio Meet also has features like meetings, scheduling and sharing screens with each other. Jio Meet is available through Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

Jio Meet app is available for Android and iOS users. It is free of cost. A few weeks ago, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) warned the Zoom app users to be cautious as the video conferencing application is not safe to use. Then came Google Meet app which got wide popularity. As the country is under lockdown, most of the business, official and personal meetings took place through Zoom and Google Meet apps. Jio Meet now claims that the meetings are encrypted and Jio Meet is set to give a tough competition for Zoom and Google Meet.
