Protests against corporate greed, hundreds arrested

USProtestAs the protests opposing the corporate greed, income inequality and the excesses of the financial services industry spread like wildfire in the US, hundreds of people were arrested across the country in the last two days.

The protests were reported in Chicago, Denver, New York, Phoenix, Tucson and several other cities in the country. The protesters reminded the authorities that the whole world has been watching the development. Some of the protestors compared their demonstrations to those of the 1968 when people opposed the Vietnam War.

The protest demonstrations, launched by a few hundreds two weeks ago, had acquired new dimensions as thousands of people participated in similar protests in several prominent cities in the world in the last few days.

The demonstrators shouted slogans against the politicians and bankers and urged the fellow citizens to rally round them in exposing the corporate greed.
