The aviation minister Ajit Singh has expressed his displeasure over the ongoing strike by Air India pilots. He said it was unfortunate and unfair on the part of pilots for not calling off the strike despite the government welcoming them for talks for solving problems of pilots. Ajit Singh spoke to the media after opening a new terminal at Lucknow Airport.
Ajit Singh has also appealed to the pilots to withdraw their strike keeping in view the problems being faced by the public. On the other hand, Air India faced huge losses due to the strike and it blamed its pilots for the same.
Also, by tomorrow the pilots will need to end strike at any cost since the valid agreement that they entered with Air India asks pilots to go through complete medical board in case a pilot doesn’t attend to the duties for 14 days consecutively under sick leave. So, if pilots don’t resume work they would be the ones who would face difficulties later.
