The prime minister Manmohan Singh is going to meet the iconic democratic leader Aung San Suu Kyi on Tuesday at Yangon as a part of his tour to Myanmar. External affairs minister S M Krishna is going to accompany Manmohan Singh to Yangon. It may be noted that the duo met the President of Myanmar, Thein Sein.

Also, a business delegation is traveling with Manmohan Singh. The sources said that the Government of India is looking forward to fulfilling its promised made to the President of Myanmar when he had visited India in 2011.

The sources even said that a bus service would be started between Imphal and Mandaley  besides the extension of line of credit. The prime minister’s visit to Myanmar is aimed at strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
