
Kolkata's human rights organization has requested the the Director General of Police Naparajit Mukherjee, Home secretary Basudeb Banarjee and also the health secretary Sanjay Mitra to lookinto the case of Pinki and to ensure that her rights are not being violated.
Asok Ganguly, the chairperson of the commission has requested that the concerned officials submit the report in 14 days which could be a sight of relief for Pinki.
Association of Protection of Democratic Rights (APDR) and Nari Nirjatan Protirodh Mancha have submitted a memo with State human rights commission on Tuesday on behalf of the athelete to provide her relief.
Justice Gunguly said “The incidents that happened over the past few weeks clearly indicate that Pinki's human rights have been violated and hence we had to step in. A report should be submitted by all three officials after a proper and detailed enquiry of the matter”.
Commenting on the same issue Basudeb Banarjee said “We are definitely going to inquire regarding the same”.
