Veteran Indian Cricketer Ajay Tyagi was killed on Thursday the police said. He was shot dead in Ghaziabad near New Delhi.
Indian Cricketer Suresh Raina shared a very close relationship with 47 year old Tyagi. He was returning from a ground after playing in the evening when a group of unidentified people started firing at him and killed him.
Prashant Kumar, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ghaziabad reported that Ajay worked at a ordinace factory and was going back home to his house in the premises of the factory when a few unidentified people approached him on the bikes and shot him and he died on the spot.
His body has been sent for an autopsy.
