For the first time ever the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials questioned the former Telecom Minister A Raja, at the national capital. As per sources, the long hours of grilling by the ED sleuths included the various transactions during the time when he held the position. ED had also questioned about the personal finances of the minister also.

As per reliable sources the ED had also requested the former minister to bring alongwith him all the financial records. The sleuths have retained the records, under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Mr Raja could be called in for another round of questioning, speculate sources.

The CBI arrested Mr Raja, a strong DMK leader for his alleged role in allocating spectrum, while at office. He was out on bail, last May after being permitted by the special CBI court. However, the Minister was confident about coming out clean in 2G. (With inputs from internet- AW AarKay)
