It may seems preposterous to think that jihadis, who are cold blooded and dedicated to end lives of thousands,  would indulge in misappropriation of funds which were allocated for their “holy war”. Several bomb blast investigations have revealed this shocking truth. Foot soldiers and top brass terrorists alike have been found to involve in such acts. The funds sent for acts of terrorism which were sent to them by their foreign bosses were siphoned and used for personal benefit in the Indian Mujhaideen.

Qateel Siddiqui of IM who was recently murdered on June 8th in the Yerwada Jail in pune revealed that he received Rs One lakh for new recruitments. After a great deal of investigation he reluctantaly revealed that he has not used the money  on recruits but on two girls withouth the boss's knowledge. He also revealed that he was least interested in the ideology of IM and was interested only in the money that he could use personally. He also revealed that he did not accept may programmes of IM.

Yaseen Bhatkal of IM, the cheif of the group in India was no different. He allegedly oversees all the activities in India and is the prime accused in the German Bakery bomb blast case, the triple blasts of 13/7, Delhi arms factory case and Jama Masjid firing case. He has invested Rs. 14 lakh in realty projects but the money was intended to attend to the legal cases of the activists in jails.

The major reason could be that the foot soldiers and chiefs in the region are more concerned in minting money while the bosses are more interested in the operations and since the money is not earned from their pockets they wouldn't care to put tabs on the money being spent.
