Shiv Sena supremo Bala Saheb Thackeray has lashed out at Karnataka legislators. He has alleged that there were Talibans in Karnataka constituent assembly. He made these controversial statements in the wake of Karnataka Government cancelling the permission of a Marathi newspaper in Belgaum town of the state.
Bala Saheb Thackeray has said that Karnataka assembly has cancelled the permission of "Marathi Populus" news daily and sent the report to the Press Council of India.He has also said that this incident proved that press freedom has become a puppet in the hands of the politicians. Further, he said Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chauhan has been maintaining silence over the injustice being meted out to Marathi people in Karnataka.
