A couple from Mukundpur had been arrested for allegedly involving in the kidnap of a 15 year old girl from her house at Bhalaswa Dairy. They then sold her to a prostitution den in Rohini. The police had rescued her within 12 hours but unfortunately the gild had already been raped once by the kidnapper Sunil Kumar and by the owner of the prostitution house.

Aarthi, the wife of Sunil had also been arrested and an FIR was lodged regarding the same. Rishi Aurora who was running the den has been absconding.

Police said that they acted upon a call fom a girl at 8:10pm that she had been sold off to traffickers and raped after being kidnapped. The police are also trying to find if she was raped prior to the kidnap and the girl might have feared reporting the matter earlier, said DCP P Karunakaran.

After Rishi raped her, the girl reported it to his wife who beat her up. An NGO had also involved in the interrogations and confrmed that her allegations were all true. After confessing their crime, Sunil has been remanded to the policestation for two days and meanwhile the police are on the hunt for the co-accused Rishi and his wife.

The incidents of rape had been very high in the past days in the capital. Three other cases of rape were reported in the last two days. A three-year-old girl was raped by a mason Om Prakash in the Ranhaula area of west Delhi.

Another girl, a Class IX student from the Khayala area, was repeatedly raped by her neighbour. A17-year-old girl was raped by her neighbour after he abducted her and took her to a farmhouse in Alipur in outer Delhi. All the accused were arrested.
