Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray was apparently not pleased with the thoughts of BJP leader LK Advani's posts on his blog which reflected his predictions of a government which doesn't belong to Congress or the NDA. He said that his contemplations were merely demoralizing and also asked the NDA not to be discouraged.
He also harshly reacted saying that Advani could meet his at his residence in Mumbai, Matoshri, and that he could impart some strength and morale into the BJP leader's mind, speaking through his mouthpiece, Saamna.
This aggression was reported after the latest post from Mr Advani who said that there is a great possiblity for a Non-Congress and non-BJP leader to win in the elections of 2014. He also said that the Third Front would also fail in the central government. He said that such a prediction was based on the appearance of the polity that had been shaped in the past two-and-a-half years. Delhi now has the support of neither Congress nor BJP.
Mr Thackeray walloped on this statement saying that it was like telling an army of the uncertainties in the war which would serve no purpose but mere disparagement. He had advised the NDA to start afresh preparing for the elections.
He also speculated that Mr Advani could have made the statements after pondering the contest for the Prime Minister within the NDA - Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, and said that the issue could be sorted after the elections are finished.
He said "No point conceding defeat now, without even entering the boxing ring." He also said that Advani himself has a chance at the position, provided there is consensus. He urged Advani not to make such comments on his blog and play politics which would only send the wrong message to the lower ranks. Thackeray asked him to help suppress the Congress.
Shiv Sena's chief had made its intentions clear by saying that they would tackle the elections like “ free-style wrestling; suggesting that they would knock down their opponents any way they can.
