At the servant's quarters of the old JNU campus, an 18-year-old who had been staying there for the past few months was found to be hanging from a fan. The incident was reported on Tuesday evening at the Ber Sarai area in South Delhi.
According to the police, the victim was identified as Ranjitha. She had come to Delhi from Nepal along with her cousin Sanjay who was a driver for a professor at JNU.
Whether she left a suicide not or not is still being investigated. A few sources have mentioned that she was unhappy at the campus and wanted to go back home.
