1500 Mansarovar Pilgrims Stuck In Bad Weather

1500 Mansarovar Pilgrims Stuck In Bad Weather:- Over 1500 Indian pilgrims who are in Kailash-Mansarovar yatra have been left stuck in Nepal due to bad weather and heavy rain. The latest update says that a man from AP died in north western Nepal in Hilsa town. The Indian Embassy located in Kathmandu is monitoring the situations currently. Among the 1500, 290 pilgrims are from Karnataka. They are currently lodged in Siminkot, which is located from 423 kms from Kathmandu.

Indian Foreign Ministry requested Nepal Government to evacuate all the pilgrims and Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj tweeted about this. The news is that it will take three to four days for all the piligrims to reach India. All the state Chief Ministers requested the officials to bring the pilgrims safe. The medical facilities are being provided and it is tough to bring them back in Army helicopters due to the bad weather. The Kailash - Mansarovar Yatra is of religious and cultural significance for Hindus, Jains and Buddhists.
