Two of the US Marines had been killed in an attack by the Taliban at the military base in South Afghanistan where Prince Harry was posted according to the Reuters who were informed by anonymous US officials.
The forces which were led by NATO in the Afghanistan said that Harry who was on-site while the attack took place was unharmed.
"Prince Harry was never in any danger," spokesperson Martyn Crighton said. Martyn added that the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) would conduct investigations to learn whther Prince Harry's presence had triggered the attack or if it was merely a random attack.
The Taliban had attacked with RPGs, mortars and other small firearms. Rebels had breached the perimeter of the Bastion Camp in the Hemland province.
The nationalities of the officers who had lost their lives was kept a secret along with the details of the injured officials.
Not a week ago, Taliban mentioned that they would do any distance to capture Harry or kill him as a part of their Harry Operations.
