Delhi rape case: DNA report today

The Delhi police, who registered murder case against the six accused in the gang rape of 23-year-old innocent medical student, will get the DNA and forensic report today. Upon observing the reports, the police said that they would be filing a charge sheet on the accused this Wednesday, which would be up 1000 pages. It may be noted that the young woman was allegedly picked up by a group of people in Delhi promising her and her boy friend to drop at Dwarka area.

The moment they couple boarded, the six accused including the driver allegedly picked up a quarrel with the 27-year-old software employee, who accompanied the decease, beat him up and confined him to driver's cabin. As driver's brother took the driver seat, driver and other four persons brutally assaulted the woman when she resisted in their attempt to touch her. She was beaten up so badly with iron rods that she lost her consciousness. The beasts then took turns and raped her as the bus moved in the posh streets of Delhi for about an hour covering over 30 kilometres. She was then thrown out of the bus naked with her friend after which she was shifted to Safdarjung hospital by the police when a pedestrian informed the cops.

The victim was eventually lifted to Singapore hospital where she succumbed to injuries in the early hours of Saturday. The unfortunate and horrific incident shook the entire country and took away parts of everyone's lives. Protests are going on across the entire country demanding speedy justice for the victim.
