Rahul Bought Problems with Speeches Buys Time Now

Rahul Gandhi's speech at Churu in Rajasthan and Indore in Madhya Pradesh has thrown him into unwanted troubled water that made the Congress party a point to worry when the Elections in the States of Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram are ahead.

Rahul Gandhi accused BJP in his speech of igniting the communal violence in Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh.  BJP complained EC about the baseless accusations requesting for a stern action against Rahul.  BJP wrote in its complaint that Rahul made certain false and baseless allegations against the members of BJP and made communal utterances there by inciting communal feelings of people of different communities.

Rahul not only accused BJP for the communal riots at Muzaffarnagar but also said that Pakistan agencies like ISI are trying to contact the Muslim youth whose families were affected in the riots.

Taking serious view of the implications in the speech, the Election Commission gave notice that prima facie the speeches violate the model code of conduct for political parties and candidates and asked him to call upon EC’s Office by 11.30 am today to explain why action should not be taken against him.

Rahul asked for an extension of week’s time to respond.
