Anna Salai Police in Chennai have launched a man hunt for miscreants who had stolen a bag of the actress-turned-politician Kushboo, which contained her expensive BlackBerry and iPhone, at Chennai. She was at a DVD shop in the Express Avenue mall to purchase some CDs and had placed her mobile phones on the table.
According to circles close to Kushboo, she had kept her bag containing the cellphones on the table near the entrance of a shop at the mall and went to browse the racks for DVDs. When she returned, she found the bag missing. Her manager Ambu immediately lodged a complaint about this theft at the Anna Salai police station, who have registered a case.
The police are investigating based on the CCTV camera installed at the shop. Initial investigations revealed that a couple of youth were at the shop during Kushboo’s visit and they could have been involved in the theft. Police say that they have leads in the case and the culprits will be trapped soon.
