J.D., A Minimum Guarantee Director?

J.D. A Minimum Guarantee DirectorIt was not a spelling mistake, I meant to say Minimum Guarantee director, rather than a Minimum Guarantee Hero. J.D. Chakravarthy, the Actor who has shot into fame right from his first film ‘Shiva’ where he plays a bad guy, directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Later, this Actor transformed into a Hero and has done various jorner of love – action and even family entertainers like ‘Gulabi’, ‘Premaku Velaaye Raa’, ‘Bombay Priyudu’ and so on. But, from a Villain to a Hero there was a stage in between where J.D. has done two biggest successful films in his career, as a Comedy Hero and the films being ‘Money’ and ‘Money Money’.

Today, J.D. Chakravathy’s directorial ‘Money, Money more Money’, released last week, has announced to be a successful film at the box office. J.D. made his directorial debut with ‘Madhyanam Hatya’ a film from RGV Factory. Later, his two films ‘Homam’ and ‘Siddham’ projected Jagapathi Babu as a Bold Hero and also turned out to be a success. By tagging both these films a success I mean the film maker got back much more than he invested. Now, that itself makes the film a success, rather than the analysis of how many days it has been screened, how many centers mein 50 – 100 days complete hua and all.

Today, for all those small time film makers out there, J.D. has become a minimum guarantee director, who makes a film that gets back more than the invested amount to the film maker.

Well, what more than a film maker wants than this in today’s industry ka scenario!
