Bipasha Basu a pleasant natured girl who always sports a smile said that she had a tough time playing a negative role in her upcoming horror movie Raaz 3 which would also be released in 3D, Raaz 3D. She said that playing such an evil natured character as Shinaaya has drained her emotions completely as she could not place herself anywhere close to the character she played.

She had to take a lot of effort to merely step into the characters shoes and playing the character had drained her energy and emotion as she was pushed to the max.

In the movie she plays Shinaaya, an actress who resorts to black magic to get her give a boost to her fading career and get back lover back. The movie is expected to hit the theaters on September 7.

"I did not know how to bring in so much darkness because I am a happy person. I did not have any reference point. But I had to deliver and I think it was the nervous energy that brought me into that zone. It is the maximum I have pushed as an individual to perform. This role has depressed me, drained me and has broken me down," Bipasha told talking to the media.

Bipasha has also expressed that she fancied and was intrigued by the dark characters in humans which was the reason she had signed for the third installment of the movie 10 years after the first movie Raaz. She had played in the first episode of the movie, which was also her first major hit.

She said that she is no different from most actors of the world who are charmed by the dark roles because positive roles though cheerful are highly predictable. “We all are very normal beings who fear things. I have played such roles and it is fine but a dark character is always more exciting," says Bipasha.

With her debut role in Ajnabee with a shade of darkness she has come a long distance in her B-Town career. Her role in Raaz 3 would be the darkest character she ever played yet.

With such suspense and action packed in the movie, Raaz 3 Ratings is expected to soar high, hitting the ceilings.
