State Funeral for Sai Baba

 Chief Minister Kirankumar Reddy today announced a 4-day state mourning and said the final rites to the mortal remains of Sri Satya Sai Baba, who breathed his last this morning, would be conducted with full state honours.
Addressing a media conference in Puttaparthy this evening after paying his last respects to the mortal remains of the Baba kept in the Yajurmandiram in Pransanthi Nilayam, Kirankumar said Sai Baba had established schools, colleges, universities, medical centers in several states of India and in some 132 countries besides providing drinking water facility to hundreds of villages in Andhra Pradesh and some other states.
Meanwhile, APSRTC and the south central railway today announced special buses and trains from several places in the state to Puttaparthy to meet the rush of devotees and general public who are heading for the town to pay their last respects to the spiritual leader.
