Minister Raghuveera Reddy today announced that Congress president Sonia Gandhi too will accompany the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh tomorrow to Puttaparthy to pay last respects to the departed spiritual leader Sri Satya Sai Baba.
He told media persons in Ananthapuram that Manmohan and Sonia will arrive in Puttaparthy at 4.30 pm by a special flight.
“More than one lakh devotees have had the darshan of the mortal remains of the Baba till now and more and more people are arriving in Puttaparthy from India and abroad,” he said adding that devotees will be able to pay respects to Baba till Tuesday evening.
Puttaparthy will remain the most sacred pilgrim center to the future generations, he said, adding that Baba will continue to be worshipped by people even after his death also. “Some world leaders are also arriving at Puttaparthy to pay their last respects to Sai Baba,” he said.
