On the third day of the nominations for the May 8 by polls of the Pulivendula assembly and Kadapa Lok Sabha constituencies, returning officers received two nominations today, one each in Pulivendula and Kadapa.
As per the congress strategy worked out earlier, one Mrs Vijayalakshmi filed her nomination this morning for the Pulivendula assembly seat while a person in the name of Jaganmohan reddy filed his nomination for the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat almost at the same time.
Visitors of this portal are well aware that YS Vijayalakshmi, the widow of late YSR and YS Jaganmohan reddy, son of YSR are contesting for Pulivendula assembly seat and Kadapa Lok Sabha seat respectively on behalf of their YSR congress party.
Congress has decided to ensure that a maximum number of persons having the names of Vijayalakshmi and Jaganmohan reddy will file nominations in Pulivendula and Kadapa respectively to create confusion among the supporters of Jagan at the time of polling.
Meanwhile, YSR Congress leaders have charged that congress leaders have been resorting to dubious means in the elections with a view to defeat Jagan. “Congress has adopted the same strategy in the MLC elections also but we won ultimately. In these elections also, we will win despite the tactics of congress,” they said.
