Political JAC of Telangana today called for a 24-hour Rail Roko programme on March 1 to force the central government to declare Telangana state.
Addressing a media conference in Hyderabad, JAC chairman Professor Kodandaram said that the Rail Roko programme would begin in the morning hours on March 1 and would continue for the next 24 hours.
“All trains will be stopped across Telangana for a duration of 24 hours on that day,” he said, adding that the central leadership of the congress party and the government would be forced to act on the formation of Telangana with this programme.
After the Rail Roko, the JAC will plan for a seize of the Hyderabad city by lakhs of Telangana people and the seize will overshadow the seize laid out by the Egyptians in Cairo, he said. Declaring that the Telangana employees are ready for an indefinite strike for the sake Telangana, he called upon people across Telangana to conduct rallies in support of their demands.
