Deputy Speaker of the assembly Nadendla Manohar, DGP Aravinda Rao and Hyderabad police commissioner AK Khan today met the governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan following the attack on Lok Satta chief and Kukatpalli MLA Jayaprakash Narayana by the TRS members at the Media Point in the assembly.
Sources said the discussions centered on the steps to be taken to prevent further TRS attacks on protagonists of united AP and also the action to be taken against those who resorted to the attack on JP during his media address.
It is learnt that the Deputy Speaker and the top police officials met the governor at the latter’s instance who came to know of the attack on JP soon after his speech. The governor called them for a discussion on the issue and to know the developments first hand from the officials, according to sources.
The high level meeting comes amid reports after the chief minister Kirankumar reddy also viewed clipping of attacks on JP on TV channels and asked Manohar to initiate appropriate action against those who attacked him.
