Uncaring for the whip issued by the PRP for the legislative council elections, its MLA Sobha Nagireddy today announced that she would vote as per her conscience in the elections to be held for the council under the quota of the MLAs.
“Whip or no whip, I will vote in the elections but as per my conscience only,” she told journalists in Hyderabad knowing fully well that violating the whip would disqualify her as an MLA.
The whip has asked all PRP MLAs to be present in the house on March 17 and to vote for party candidate C. Ramachandraiah in the elections. PRP was assured of support by the congress party for its candidate Ramachandraiah.
Another PRP MLA Mr Katasani Ramreddy also may follow suit and vote as per his conscience as announced by Sobha Nagi reddy. Both these MLAs have been openly defying the PRP leadership and supporting YSR party president YS Jaganmohan reddy’s leadership.
