Chaos in house, assembly adjourned thrice

Assembly adjournment, din in the assembly, chaos in assemblyDeputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar was forced to adjourn the assembly thrice today without transacting any business as the TRS MLAs and TDP members belonging to the Telangana region created chaos in the house continuously with their demands.

While the TRS members demanded the introduction of a resolution on the creation of the separate state of Telangana, the TDP members demanded the revoking of the suspension of five MLAs.

The congress MLAs belonging to the former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan reddy’s group also pitched in with their contribution to the pandemonium in the house by demanding immediate release of funds towards fee reimbursement. 11 Congress MLAs belonging to the Jagan faction, were on their feet holding banners and raising slogans in favour of fee reimbursement.
Three congress MLAs from the T region also contributed to the din in the house by raising slogans in favour of separate Telangana state.

As the assembly could not transact any business, the Speaker adjourned the House for fifteen minutes first time but the din continued after the house assembled again forcing the Chair to go for second adjournment. Repetition of the pandemonium resulted in the adjournment of the house for the third time.

Earlier, participating in a discussion on the suspension of the MLAs, former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu requested the Chair to revoke their suspension but the government sought an apology from the suspended MLAs for their behaviour towards the Governor. The suspended MLAs refused to tender an apology.
