TRS members suspended from house for the day

Speaker Nadendla Manohar today suspended 11 TRS MLAs and one independent MLA for the day as they continued their unruly behaviour in the house and obstructed the normal proceedings.

TRS members, who had obstructed the business of the house for the last three days continuously, today also began disrupting the proceedings on the issue of Telangana demanding the introduction of a resolution on the demand for separate state.

Speaker Nadendla Manohar adjourned the house for an hour but the TRS legislators continued the din even after the house had reassembled. Not caring for the appeal of the legislative affairs minister D Sridhar Babu to be peaceful in the house, the TRS members continued their sloganeering, shouting and demonstration in the name of Telangana.

CPI and BJP members also joined them demanding resolution on Telangana and increasing the din in the house. Amid the pandemonium, the Sridhar Babu moved a motion suspending the TRS MLAs and the motion was carried out with voice vote. Then marshals moved in and evicted the suspended TRS members.

Later, four CPI MLAs and two BJP members walked out of the house in protest against the suspension of TRS MLAs.

Meanwhile, the TDP which had disrupted the House for the last three days demanding dismissal of ministers involved in the liquor syndicates, today boycotted the Question Hour. (JUBS)
