PCC chief and transport minister Botsa Satyanarayana has unleashed all his political acumen to suppress the role of mega star Chiranjeevi in the state congress and make him a zero in the political sphere of the state.

Botsa, overtly shrewd and covertly cunning as he is, is very much worried about the growing importance being accorded to Chiru in the state congress by the high command, with both of them hailing from the same Kapu community.

Botsa knows for sure that he would not become the chief minister of the state in the next elections if the role of Chiru grows magnificently in the state in general and among the Kapus in particular.  

After the recent media reports indicated that Chiru may be inducted into the Union Cabinet as Union Minister of State with an independent charge, Botsa developed jitters that Chiru will turn himself into a mega power centre in the state congress in due course of time. A position in the union cabinet will surely make the mega star grow in stature and turn him into an alternative power centre over a period of time thus eliminating the chances of Botsa in the race to become chief minister in 2014.

Worried over his political future, Botsa hobnobbed with another Kapu leader Dasari Naryana Rao, who is not in good terms with Chiru, and sent him to Delhi to plead with the high command not to take Chiru into the Cabinet. Dasari, who has been camping in Delhi for the last one week at the behest of Botsa, is requesting the party bigwigs not to press Chiru to get elected to Rajya Sabha through Maharashtra.

Ironically, it is Chiru who played an important role in the political process that finally resulted in Botsa becoming the PCC chief. Chiru must mature more and see the game plan of Botsa if he wants to survive in the midst of political machinations of Botsa and Dasari Narayana rao who hug him in the front and stab him in the back.

Alternative for Chiru

The congress high command, which saw a potential crowd puller in Chiru, wanted to make use of him to revitalize the state congress being crucified by the YSR Congress chief Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy.

Congress leadership thought of pumping some experience into Chiranjeevi the congress leader by making him a Union Minister of State with an independent charge before finally asking him to take on Jagan in the next assembly elections in the state.

Reports said that Chiru refused to take up the Cabinet post by opting to go to Rajya Sabha through Maharashtra and rather preferred to wait for an opportunity to get elected from AP. However, in the changed circumstances, he must agree to the offer of the high command and go to Rajya Sabha through Maharashtra and take up the Union Cabinet post to outsmart Botsa and defeat his dirty power game.

If Chiru agrees for the high command offer, it will be slap on the faces of Botsa and Dasari and he will get the fame of downing two Kapu leaders with a single shot for his own survival. Will Chiru do it?
