Security tightened for Botsa

Security tightened for BotsaSecurity was tightened for the Transport minister and PCC chief designate Mr Botsa Satyanarayana as intelligence inputs reported a Maoist threat to his life.

Botsa expressed anger on Thursday when his personal secretary had received a fax letter from intelligence officials saying he had faced a threat to his life from the Maoists. “Instead of writing a letter to my secretary on the issue, the officials could have strengthened security to me,” he said angrily.

Later, Botsa spoke over phone with the top officials who had assured him full security to meet the threat.

Botsa hinted at a reshuffle of the cabinet before this month end and said there is no threat to the congress party from the YSR Congress. “It poses no threat to our party,” Botsa said.

The government is also ready to conduct the local body elections but expressed the doubt they may be postponed due to non-completion of BC census.
