In a freak incident, Speaker Nadendla Manohar was slightly injured when a terrified ox kicked him at the ‘Eruvaka’ program in Tadikonda in Guntur district today.

 

Manohar was one of the guests at the ‘Eruvaka’ program inaugurated by the Minister Manikya Vara Prasad. When the program was going on, an ox, on seeing the huge gathering at the venue, was terrified and had started running helter-skelter.  

 

Manohar did not observe the ox running and before he was alerted, it kicked him causing small injuries. He was immediately administered first aide by the doctors. Later, Manohar participated in the program.

 

Soon after the incident, there was a flurry of phone calls from Hyderabad to the Speaker to inquire about the incident and his condition. “Even there is a call from the CMO and Minister Manikya Vara Prasad answered it,” said the officials present at the ‘Eruvaka’ program.
