According top priority to the cause of Telangana over administrative matters of their respective departments, 6 ministers of the Telangana region remained in Delhi and abstained themselves from the state cabinet meeting today in Hyderabad. The six of the ten ministers who decided to stay back in Delhi to purse the cause of Telangana are K Jana Reddy, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Komati Reddi Venkat Reddy, D Sridhar Babu, P Sudhershan Reddy and Basavraj Saraiah. They flew to Delhi along with their T region congress ministers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs Wednesday morning and met the Union Ministers Chidambaram and Pranab Mukherjee.
They also attended a meeting held at the residence of MP Mr Komatireddy Rajagopal reddy this morning to discuss their future course of action. The other four Ministers -D K Aruna, V Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, R Venkat Reddy and P Shanker Rao air-dashed from New Delhi this morning and attended the cabinet meeting.
Meanwhile, Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana could not attend the meeting as he was on a foreign jaunt.
