Kanna in safe zone but arrival to be delayed

Kanna in safe zone but arrival to be delayedHousing Minister Mr Kanna Lakshminarayana, who along with other co-pilgrims, was brought to safety at Simikot on the Indo-Nepal border this morning by the Nepali Army helicopters, is made to wait at a guest house there due to inclement weather.

The Kanna group of pilgrims is to be brought to Katmandu for being flown to Delhi but the airlifting of the Minister and the others to Katmandu is delayed due to inclement weather. If the weather doesn’t turn favourable today, he may have to wait at his guest house in Simikot till Tuesday morning to be brought to Katmandu.

There is a chance that Kanna and others may be flown to Nepalgunj tomorrow by a small aircraft if the unfavorable weather conditions continue in the Indo-Nepali border tomorrow also.

Kanna was earlier stranded at the hilly hamlet Hilsa on the Indo-Nepal-Tibetan border along with other pilgrims during their pilgrimage to the Manasa Sarovaram on Sunday but they were this morning brought to the Simikot safely by two special helicopters of the Nepali Army.
