Dinesh Reddy to succeed Aravinda as DGP

dinesh-reddy-to-succeed-aravinda-as-dgpMr Dinesh Reddy, an IPS officer of the 1977 batch, will take over as the new DGP of Andhra Pradesh in place of Mr. Aravinda Rao who has retired today.
 
A GO on the appointment of Dinesh Reddy will be issued in the evening, according to official sources. After joining the IPS on July 30, 1977, Dinesh Reddy was promoted as SP in 1981, DIG in 1991, IG in 1995 and additional DG in 2003.
 
He was elevated to the rank of DG in 2010. Dinesh Reddy was picked up as the new DGP by the Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy from a list of 4 probable aspirants.
