Clearly hinting at the fate of Hyderabad city in case of division, Congress MP Mr Gutta Sukhendar reddy said today that the Seema Andhra people are brothers and sisters of Telangana people and they would also enjoy all rights equally with the people residing in Telangana.
The remarks are being interpreted as congress party high command’s message that Hyderabad would be made a common capital for both Andhra and Telangana in case of division.
Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad, he reasserted that they are committed to their resignations and the question of withdrawing them doesn’t arise.
“We will think of withdrawing our resignations if the process of Telangana formation is announced officially,” Sukhendar reddy said. Echoing similar sentiments, senior leader K. Keshava Rao said that the act of resignations was the last resort for achieving Telangana and there are no second thoughts about quitting their posts.
Meanwhile, TDP Rajya Sabha MP Ms. Gundu Sudha Rani and TDP MLC Mr P. Yadagiri also submitted their resignations for the sake of Telangana.
