The TTD Executive Officer, Mr LV Subramanyam said today that VIP break darshans would be banned during the 9-day annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara Swamy on Tirumala beginning September 29.
“During the 9-day high profile annual festival, recommendation letters for accommodation will also be not accepted. We have taken a decision to cancel the Arjitha Seva services also during the festival,” he told media persons on Tirumala.
This means there won’t be any advance reservation of cottages and guest houses on Tirumala during the festival.
Mr Subramanyam on Friday held a meeting with all departmental heads on Tirumala and instructed to follow the instructions strictly. He asked the health department officials to prepare themselves in advance to keep hygiene in the temple town and directed the temple kitchen officials to take all necessary precautions to provide free meals to 60,000 devotees daily in addition to keeping a stock of 3 to 4 lakh of Laddus daily to meet the Prasadam demands.
Mr Subramanyam has also instructed the security officials to provide fool-proof security measures for the Brahmotsavams.
