TTD imposes Measures for Pedestrians:- Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and EO Dharma Reddy inspected the leopard attack spot and followed up with precautionary measures. On Saturday a six-year-old girl died of a leopard attack in the Alipiri pedestrian route to Tirumala.
TTD chairman and EO inspected the incident spot and later held review meetings with the security and vigilance wing and also with the forest department and police department. They talked about the measures to be taken to stop such types of fatal attacks in the future.
Tirumala Trust will survey the route ways with the drone cameras and also will set camera traps that are used to track the wild animals near the pedestrian route.TTD will install 500 CCTV cameras as surveillance. More security was beefed up between the 7th-mile point and Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, these zones were said to be high-alert zones.
Temple Trust also asked the pedestrians to take necessary precautions like trekking in a group at all times and parents were advised to take care of their children all the time and keep them a close watch.
EO Dharma Reddy has arranged a media conference and explained all the precautions and actions.
TTD and the forest department together have announced an ex gratia for the kin family of Rs 10L.
