Tirumala Temple Will Remain Open After 743 TTD Staff Tested Positive:- The spread of coronavirus is huge across all the districts of Andhra Pradesh. The government granted permission for the reopening of Tirumala Lord Venkateswara temple. Despite of taking all the measures, the spread could not be controlled. It has been a month since the top temple opened the doors for the devotees. A total number of 743 TTD staff members are tested positive with coronavirus which also includes the priests. A total number of three employees passed away due to coronavirus. TTD recently made it sure that they have no plans to close the temple despite of the huge spread all over Tirumala and Tirupati. TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy made it clear that they have no plans to close the temple and Lord Balaji will take care of everyone.
"We will continue to screen the staff members and the social distancing among the devotees will be maintained. The spread is not across TTD alone. The entire country is witnessing the spike in the number of cases. TTD was in green zone recently but with the cases increasing, it is now into the red zone. We are here to offer the best treatement for everyone if they are tested positive with coronavirus. Lord Venkateswara swamy will be our guiding force. We are increasing the tests among our employees. COVID-19 camps are launched to detect coronavirus and prevent the spread. All our employees are treated properly and random tests for coronavirus are conducted on regular basis" said YV Subba Reddy.
The number of devotees got increased after the shrine was open for public but after the spread started increasing, the numbers came down. Several other services of TTD got canceled in the recent times after the spread of coronavirus is huge.
