Telangana Government doctors’ association today extended support to the general strike proposed by the JAC of the Telangana Employees’ Associations from August 1.
The doctors’ association said their members would join the stir from August 8. “One thousand doctors will participate in the hunger strike programme daily in the first three days and the doctors will boycott the OP duties for three days from August 11,” said the leaders of the association.
The doctors said they would boycott the ward duties continuously from August 14 till T state is achieved. “If the government uses ESMA against us, we will boycott even the emergency duties also,” they threatened.
