TDP rebel MLAs Nagam Janardhan Reddy and Harishwara Reddy today resorted to a sit-in at the Assembly Gate 2 demanding the Speaker Nadendla Manohar to accept their resignations.
Soon after the Speaker arrived in Hyderabad from his London trip, Nagam and Hariswara Reddy reached the assembly with their supporters. They raised slogans at the Assembly gate in favour of Telangana.
As the Speaker did not turn up in his office even after a wait of two hours, Nagam and his group went to the Saifabad police station and lodged a complaint saying the Speaker was missing from his office. They requested the police to trace him.
“At least, please let us know the place where the Speaker could be contacted so that we can go there and request him to accept our resignations,” Nagam requested the police.
