Even as tempers are raising high between Telangana and Andhra areas over the issue of Telangana, state administration seems to be heading towards a crisis.
The Telangana employees, who have announced an all employees’ strike from August 17, began their work to rule agitation from today as a first step of their larger strike. Giving the much needed boost to the all employees’ strike, private school managements in the Telangana area announced that they would close their schools indefinitely from August 17 as a gesture of support to the general strike.
Government banned the entry of private persons into the government offices from today as a precautionary measure.
Offer from AP NGOs’ Association
Refusing to extend support to the proposed all employees’ strike beginning August 17 by the Telangana NGOs association, the AP NGOs association today extended support to the struggle for united AP and offered to work during the proposed general strike if proper security is extended to them.
“As the 14 F and separate state of Telangana issues are political in nature, we are unable to extend support to the proposed strike,” said Mr Gopal Reddy, president of the AP NGOs Association in Hyderabad today.
Warning to Andhra employees
TRS MLAs Mr Aravinda Reddy and Ode asked the Andhra employees to leave Hyderabad on or before August 17 and warned them to be ready to face dire consequences if they do not leave the place.
“If you don’t stick on to the deadline, we will turn into suicide squads and you will not be able to live in Hyderabad” they warned the Andhra employees while participating in a programme in Illendu of Khammam district.
They were speaking to media persons at the funeral of Mr Srikanth, an M.Tech student who committed suicide for the sake of Telangana.
