Temples in AP have witnessed heavy inflow of devotees today on account of the most auspicious second Friday of the Sravana Masam. Women celebrate the Vara Lakshmi Vratam on this Friday to invoke the blessings of the Goddesses.
Thousands of women devotees have flocked to the temple of Goddess Kanaka Durga on Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada and sought the blessings of the Goddess. Women joined long queues even in the wee hours of Friday to have a glimpse of the Goddess Kanaka Durga appearing in the Avatara of Sravana Vara Lakshmi.
Tens of hundreds of women devotees visited the Goddess Padmavathy temple at Tiruchanur near Tirupati and the temple of Lord Rama at Bhadrachalam where authorities conducted mass Vara Lakshmi Vratams with temple expenditure.
