PRP era ends as MLAs join cong

prpTwo days after the PRP chief and mega star Mr Chiranjeevi joined the Congress party in the presence of party general secretary Mr Rahul Gandhi in Delhi, all 16 PRP MLAs and MLCs and other top leaders of the party today joined the congress mainstream in Hyderabad.

The 3-year old history of PRP has therefore come to an end as its merger with the congress party has been successfully formalized with the today’s activity. The PRP MLAs are now congress MLAs and form part of the treasury benches in the state assembly.

The PRP MLAs and leaders including district unit presidents, party general secretary Allu Aravind and Chiranjeevi’s brother Nagababu were enrolled as congress members in Gandhi Bhavan in the presence of Chief Minster Kirankumar Reddy and PCC chief Mr Botsa Satyanarayana. 

PRP state committee members and other leaders will also join the congress stream at 4 pm today in Gandhi Bhavan and Botsa Satyanarayana will preside over the programme.
