YSR congress president Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy has been reportedly facing rough weather from some of the Congress MLAs who tendered their resignations in his support.
Among the 23 Congress MLAs who have put in their papers, most of them are now seeking written assurances from him on party tickets in the next elections. These MLAs have submitted their letters to the assembly secretary Mr Sadaram three days ago knowing full well that their resignations would not be accepted by the Speaker. The Speaker is now on a tour in his home constituency.
Now, they have to go and meet the Speaker with a request to accept their resignations. However, they have sought written assurances from Jagan on their political future before they could meet the Speaker and press for the acceptance of their resignations. Jagan, according to sources, has rejected their demand for written assurances.
Again, three MLAs Ms. Konda Surekha, Kunja Satyavathi and Jayasudha have not resigned saying they had already submitted their quit letters to the Speaker a few days ago for the sake of Telangana along with other MLAs. It is an open secret that the Speaker had rejected their en masse resignations.
However, the three MLAs seem to be not that much sincere in their loyalty towards Jagan and are not ready to tender their resignations for his sake. Reports said Jagan became furious over their attitude and directed them to submit their letters before he returns to Hyderabad.
The three MLAs said they would request the Speaker to accept their resignations and pointed out there was no need to resubmit the letters again. The attitude of the three MLAs did not go down well with Jagan.
