Ongole Police poor response leads to Woman suicide attempt before SP Office

Worried over unprosperous response from police to her complaints, a woman nake a run at suicide in the district SP's office.Police registered a case against the woman, Mudavath Ramya Naik, for the suicide attempt. Ramya is recovering in the local government hospital.
Upset with the way the police had handled her complaint, Ramya came to meet the SP. However, she could not meet him as he was 'busy' with a review meeting. She grew restive, went to the toilet in the office and consumed the toilet cleaner. She collapsed later. Shocked woman constables rushed her to the hospital.
Ramya, who belongs to Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, approached the Ulavapadu police with a complaint against one Rambabu of Karedu village in Ulavapadu mandal that he had ditched her after marrying her two years ago. She said Rambabu had deserted her and married another woman.
However, Ulavapadu police refused to register a case andasked the woman to lodge a complaint in Jubilee Hills PS as she lives in that PS limits. When she approached the them, they asked her to approach Ongole police since the accused lives there.
However Ramya came all the way from Hyderabad to Ongole to meet the SP and brief him about her ordeal. When she was declined permission to meet him, she devoted to the utmost step.
