The Telangana political JAC today called for a Rasta Roko on September 28 across Telangana and Hyderabad City bandh on September 30 as part of the on-going mass general strike which began on September 13.
The leaders of the JAC met this evening in Hyderabad and took the decisions for Rasta Roko and bandh. It called upon the pro-Telangana elements to make the two programmes successful.
Announcing the programme of agitation, the JAC leaders said that there would be a candle-light exhibitions and rallies on October 1, boycott of tollgate payment fee on October 2 and rail roko on October 9, 10 and 11 in all the districts of Telangana including Hyderabad.
Demanding the government to lift the power cut for farmers in the Telangana area immediately, JAC convener Prof. Kodanda Ram warned that the activists would lay siege to the houses of ministers if the power cut is not lifted for the farmers.
“Government should impose a power-cut on the houses of MLAs and Ministers,” he demanded.
