RTC Managing Director Mr Prasada Rao said today that the Government-owned public transport organization has suffered a loss of Rs.140 Cr due to the strike by its employees of the Telangana region for the last 19 days.
Addressing a media conference in Hyderabad this evening, he said the APSRTC’s losses will accumulate further if the strike is not withdrawn in two to three days. “They should rethink on their on-going strike in view of the Government attempts to privatize the RTC services,” he said appealing to the employees to call off the strike in the interests of the public and the government.
The management is ready to pay festival advances to those employees who call off the strike and attend to duties.
