Former PCC chief and congress MLC of the T region Mr D. Srinivas said that the process for taking a decision on the Telangana issue has begun and things would be alright soon in AP.
Addressing media persons after his meeting with party president Sonia Gandhi this morning at her residence, Srinivas said he had thanked Sonia for making him the member of the Legislative Council.
“The high command is very serious on solving the issue at the earliest and a decision on Telangana is expected soon,” he said. When asked whether he discussed the T issue with Sonia, he said he only made a courtesy call on her.
He charged the TRS of strengthening its position in the region and in the assembly on the pretext of the Telangana agitation. “How can you call it a sacrifice when you resign and contest again to win back your seat?” he asked.
Reacting to questions on three congress MLAs quitting the party and joining the TRS, Srinivas described their resignation as a hurried decision. He appealed to the congress activists to be patient and work strengthening the party.
